From green coffee to bean – how we roast

How green raw coffee is turned into the finished roasted bean in small batches – and why experience and attention are important.

Every cup of coffee starts with green raw coffee. The bean as we know it only comes into being through roasting: Only then do the aromas we later taste in the cup develop.

We roast in small batches. This way, we keep an eye on every roast and can cater to the individual coffee. During roasting, the color, scent and sound of the beans change – and we decide when the right moment has come.

For us, roasting is a craft: with time, experience and care instead of haste.
